Congratulations!!
There are too many great things to be said about this evening. The Naked Girls Reading Literary Honors event was amazing! It was quite intriguing to read so many pieces, each one being completely different from the next, from writers all over the world. In addition to this being the very first event of its kind, it was also the first Naked Girls Reading to be held in the Everleigh Social Club.
The numerous submissions were narrowed down to five finalists, which was not an easy task! After choosing the finalists, the pieces were then handed over to the judges. We waited with such anticipation to see who they chose. The winner of the Literary Honors award was Patty Templeton, author of “The Two Annies of Windale Road”. I’m absolutely delighted that she took home the award! Out of all of the submissions, this story was definitely one of my favorites. I was so pleased to hear that the judges chose this piece! Because of many generous contributions, we were able to give an ample award that was well deserved. Patty and more of her work can be followed here – http://pattytempleton.livejournal.com/
If you weren’t able to make it to the gala, you can do so vicariously through some photos from Time Out Chicago! http://www3.timeoutny.com/chicago/blog/out-and-about/2010/11/naked-girls-reading-at-studio-lamour-photo-gallery/
